I’m in the market for a good editor and proofer.  I will be writing 2-4 books a year…for hopefully forever!  So this could be a long term working relationship.  Please leave a comment on this post or DM me on Twitter if you are up for this and have previous experience.  I’d love to chat with you.

Good luck finding one! I would definitely be up for the job, but I technically don’t have “professional” experience.

Wow . . . 4 books a year. I would love to get that many out per year

The problem isn’t ideas or writing…it is in the editing! I think the editing is what keeps many people from writing. The fear of the work or response from peer editing starts young. Many kids don’t like writing because they fear what others will think about their first writes or drafts.

Yup, that’s the way I was when I first started writing. Editing is key

I was an editor for an online news site for four years, I may be interested. I can offer more information if you are interested.

Sounds good. I’d like to chat to see if we can work something out. Are you on twitter? I don’t want to put my email out but we can exchange that on Twitter through DM if you would like. Or you could give me your email here and I can delete once I read your message.

I hope you find one – I’ve just spent two weeks proof reading my own book and it is truly the most difficult experience – this is my first book so professional services are out of the question for me but as soon as I can I’ll be in the market for an editor probably even more important than a proof reader! Good Luck
